Ahaha hope this isn't too misleading =p but essentially the following below is copied over from the faithfulness fellowship facebook post so that those who don't have a facebook account, or usually don't go there, can see this yep.

Hello faithfulness! Before I say anything, let’s remember the release of O’level results for the previous batch of secondary 4 students, and the current batch as well. Whether results are famous or infamous, I thank God for guiding those involved throughout this period, and pray that He will continue to lead and make known His plans. At least part of the waiting’s over now =)

Well, I’m sure many of you have heard that the comm. (or half of it) met up last week to discuss and finalize some of the issues regarding the fellowship, and so the following would be about what we’ve discussed and wanted to announce, just didn’t have much chance to do so heh.

1st: Bible study programme for the year would center on 4 main themes; Unity in the Body of Christ, The Holy Spirit, Evangelism and Listening to God. This is the content for the whole year, at least until the next committee decides otherwise. So of course, for those who went last week you’ll have known that we’re starting on Unity, then as to which themes are next it depends on how the year progresses =) Certainly the dao shis will be in charge of the overall leading and implementation, but the comm. members will be in charge of , or at least facilitating several of these sessions yep. And if anyone else feels like leading or facilitating a session themselves please gladly do so =)
And also, in order to better encourage some of us to do more frequent quiet time, one of us will be sending, or mass spamming messages daily to everyone as a reminder, and a verse would be included in each of these messages if you’re not sure what to read. I think we’ll start from this Wednesday onwards? =)

2nd: As some of you might know, the budget for this year’s not very high, and well, we’ve overbudgeted in some areas, especially cha xu. So we’ll be collecting $2 from everyone, starting this week and continuing on every 1st week of the month yep =) hope you guys don’t mind as we really need the money to make up for the exceeded budget. But don’t worry, we’ll be pushing for a bigger one coming term =p

3rd: Our brother Jonathan a.k.a. Qing Feng has graciously consented to be in charge of the 5th week, which is, if you’re not sure,户外活动 =) one of my suggestions was that we visit each other’s house during the 5th week, cause one’s house is a place where you find out most about that person right? So if anyone wants to open up their house do let Jon know, or if they have any other suggestions (science centre, ice-skating etc.) do tell him as well =) and if possible, try to cooperate with him every way you can, though that doesn’t mean discussion isn’t recommended =)

4th: And here’s an announcement! Seetoh’s opening his house for us to gather at on the 30th of January, which is a Saturday for Chinese New Year dinner. I do realize it’s abit early but it is the only date when most of us can make it, so pleased do try to make time for it =) while the address is not out yet, he’s living in the Yio Chu Kang area, and so I hope this would be nearer for most of you ^^ and may I suggest that for those who are able, we meet earlier at Ang Mo Kio Hub (it’s at AMK Station) to catch a movie, buy the ingredients needed for the dinner, and head over to YCK station. Those late might have to meet us at the station itself? Not sure, but details will be up soon.

Well, it’s a long post, hope this makes things clearer though =) please do discuss here if you have any thoughts. We might not be able to have fellowship daily like the believers of the past did, but may our spirits continue to be alive here, that we may continue to have fellowship as well =)

Hey Faithfulness,
haha congratulations to those people who have just completed their O levels, God has been with you during this period =) and enjoy post Os ^^ hope you've planned out everything you wanna do, don't slack the holidays away yea =) same goes for the other levels having holidays haha. Anyway, in the meantime, let's continue to remember the J2s still taking their A levels, continue to pray for them daily yea, and if any of them are seeing this (why is daniel still on facebook -.-) the rest of the fellowship and daoshis will always be here if you need someone to talk to yea.

Anyway, the following is a short message i happened to find while surfing campus crusade's website; it's a message by the county director to the ministry partners there, and its something, i feel, that we could all use as well, especially during the holidays when all play no work somehow becomes sian (yes it does happen), and even if that doesn't happen, i hope this message will encourage you to seek God during all that free time so that 'we will find all things in Him'

The Joy Stealers...
We all have those days -- when things do not seem to go as you expect at home or at work, or when the novelty of a new job or a new stage in life wears into a mundane drudgery, or when difficult relationships take a toll on us…they steal our joy and saps our energy. These fall roughly into three categories:

Firstly, the daily grind. Sometimes the daily-ness of our routines can wear us out physically and emotionally. The unrelenting regularity of repetative tasks - going to work day in day out, commuting the same route, having the same choices for lunch, and for mums, the unending chores at home, changing diapers and ferrying kids to school through the heavy traffic, can sometimes wear us out.

Secondly, the daily grate. The minor irritations and frustrations of life -- a co-worker we cannot get along with, battling heavy traffic every day, recalcitrant children, gadgets that break down when we needed them most… We all have our pet peeves and things that grate on us, like a grain of sand in our shoe.

Thirdly, the daily grudge. Some of us carry with us a persistent feeling of ill will or resentment from past hurts or injuries. This can take the form of an unforgiving spirit and expressed in passive aggressive behaviors. Sometimes the people closest to us -- our spouse and our children, and even God Himself, are not spared from our harboring some measure of grudge. If this daily grudge is not dealt with in a timely manner, it will eat into our souls, and give root to a spirit of bitterness in our hearts.

How do we respond to the daily grind, daily grate, and the daily grudge? We have our daily gripe (or grumble)! The nation of Israel was known for her grumbling against the Lord (read Exodus and Numbers). Their lack of trust in the Lord and in His appointed leaders (Moses and Aaron) caused them to have a griping spirit. A griper focuses on himself and the circumstances rather than on God. A griper is not a joyful person to be with!

Let me suggest another response as we go about life --

a daily gratitude.
This daily gratitude results from acknowledging who God is and what He has done in our lives, and His goodness to us. Three ways of cultivating a heart of gratitude:

A heart fully rested in God, knowing that my God is BIG enough to take care of my burdens and that He knows exactly what I am going through and how I am feeling -- the daily grind, the daily grate, and the daily grudge. Psalm 68:19 tells us, "Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens." Lighten your load, let God carry those burdens, and rest in Him.

Be content in all circumstances. Paul exhorts us in Phil 4:12, "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." Rather than griping about what you lack, give thanks for what you already have, and celebrate the simple joys of life.

Make it a daily choice to give thanks as I walk with my Master. "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus," -- 1 Thess 5:18. Gratitude is the best attitude, and it honors God.

I pray we will once again rediscover the joy of gratitude, because our heart of gratitude expresses our faith and adoration for Him.

Kneeling

Haha seeing as this blog's already dead, I'm wanted give it some life, but i guess Father would be the only One who could ressurect this blog like no other. I just wanted to post about what happened today, and since i can't also make much sense of what actually happened today, so sorry if i don't make much sense while rambling on.
For those that went today, i don't know about you guys, it's just really been a long time since we ever went through such a worship session. And today, i knelt, we knelt, we really knelt. Just think about it, when was the last time you (whoever is reading this,its YOU) knelt before God, be humbled to the point of nothingness, of brokeness? Every week we come to fellowship, or maybe to church, to first worship, proclaim His name as the first, pray and share with each other, tell one another about our own troubles, our own happenings over the past week, pray for each other and just talk. Not to say that's not good, in fact, that makes for good fellowship, but i ask you, where is God in all of this?
You know what? The truth is, this fellowship is dead. We all know it. People have been saying it for months, its just that when people start breaking down before God, start crying out confessions, start screaming out the weight of their sin that we're confronted with the truth of how dead we, as individuals, as a fellowship, actually are. The signs were all along there you know? First we had the good samaritan, calling for us to see ourselves as broken people, then the beatitudes, which called for the 'poor in spirit', and for 'mourning', then i keep hearing people being increasingly rendered sick, getting further and further away from God,becoming more and more vulnerable. Yet in spite of all that we put on a strong face, week after week i see people putting on masks of happiness, making jokes, laughing, keeping all the pain inside secret. Should it be this way? Are we not a fellowship who is faithful? To God? And to men?
For those who haven't realized the significance of today's happening, the Spirit has put the truth right in front of us. Today marks a turning point, a turning point at which we all reaffirm, realign and restore our relationship, that intimacy that Father desires. He calls to us right now, as He called to Adam, "Where are you?". I urge you, if you haven't done so, ignore all the exams, the parents, friends, whatever that you can see right now, just kneel down, break yourself like the woman broke the valuable jar of perfume to wash Jesus' feet, be nothing before the faithful one of heaven, and lay all bare before Him, confess everything you have, hide nothing in His sight. Please, don't die to Christ, be alive in Him, always.

Hello brothers and sisters, it has been the honor and pleasure of those in the first Faithfulness Fellowship committee to have served you for the past one year. As per the practices of the presbyterian churches, leaders of each church group would be elected every year.

While the date to vote in our new committee would only be in April/May, i pray that each and every one of you consider if you are willing to be called to serve in the fellowship, current committee members included. If you worry about competency and biblical knowledge, these are but aspects which I firmly believe God will train and equip you with; what matters more for your relationship with God and men is whether you are willing to bring his sheep closer together and towards Him.

This year will be long and hard for the current committee due to our studies commitment, but I know that God will choose his leaders amongst you and share the weight of the yoke. Of course, you can be assured that we will step in to help you as and when you need it.

Some of you little (younger) folks will need to start school tomorrow but fear not because if God is for us, who can be against us? Do treat your friends and peers in school with love that models that of Jesus! It's a lesson that I believe each of us can apply in our own lives.

Hello brothers and sisters. The Synod Youth Ministry is organising their 4th Youth Leadership Camp. It will be held from the 20th to 21th of February of 2009. The camp will be focusing on a theme of Spiritual Leadership Competency. 美玲传道 encourages the older members of our fellowship to attend.

Hello hello, its first day of school again huh? How a month flies so quickly. I believe all of us have had some fun during the hols and drawn infinitely closer to him throughout these weeks, both as a fellowship and as individuals =) And i also believe that come what may during these next few months, school, exams, relationship problems, or a new baby =), we'll come together as a fellowship and overcome them all with our Father, and our brothers and sisters, yeah? it's really a joy to be in this fellowship. i guess everyone of us must've drawn closer to Him throughout these months, where we've come together to fellowship, to experience Him. and i'm really glad to be part of this. i thank God for everyone in my life. i thank God for the fellowship.

many months have passed, and i guess many of us are really busy these days, with schoolwork, projects, assignments & stuff. i'll pray for all of you ((((: i'm really bored nowadays, though there are like tons of homework left for me to complete. but still, i hope God'll give all of us the strength to strive towards excellence, & to do the best we can. i believe that God is always with us, even in times of trouble. (:

as we come together to pray for the fellowship, i hope we'll treat it really seriously. 'cause there are, indeed, many problems & obstacles we have been facing so far, as a fellowship. but i believe that through all of our prayers, God will make a way for us. (:

The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can you answer that one?'
The student remains silent.
'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says.
He takes a sip of water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.'Let's start again, young fella Is God good?'
'Er...yes,' the student says.
'Is Satan good?'
The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'
'Then where does Satan come from?'
'The student : 'From...God...'
''That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there evil in this world?'
'Yes, sir.'
'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything,correct?'
'Yes.'
'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'
Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues:'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this world?'
The student: 'Yes.'
'So who created them?'The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question. 'Who created them? There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized.
'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?'
The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'
The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?'
'No sir. I've never seen Him'
'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'
'No, sir, I have not.'
'Have you ever actually felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus Christ, or God for that matter?'
'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'
'Yet you still believe in him?'
'Yes.'
'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that,son?'
'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'
'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'
The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a question of his own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'
'Yes,' the professor replies.
'There's heat.''And is there such a thing as cold?'
'Yes, son, there's cold too.'
'No sir, there isn't...'
The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.
'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.'
Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a hammer.
'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as darkness?'
'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night if it isn't darkness?'
'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have Nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'
The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'
'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'
The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time. 'Flawed? Can you explain how?'
'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'
'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?'
'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of course I do'
'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'
The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.
'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?'
The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the Commotion has subsided.
The student looks around the room... 'Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into laughter.
'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain,felt the professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?'
Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face unreadable.
Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I guess you'll have to take them on faith.'
'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?'
'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'
Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man...It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world.These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'
To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God.
God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.'

The Book Of Revelation

The last book of the bible:Revelation
Purpose: To reveal the full identity of Christ and to give warning and hope to believers
To encourage Christian faithfulness, the Revelation points to the glorious world to come (a world of “no more death or mourning or crying or pain,” 21:4 NIV; compare 7:16) at the reappearing of the crucified and risen Jesus. This now enthroned Lord will return to conclude world history (and the tribulations of the readers) with the destruction of God’s enemies, the final salvation of His own people, and the creation of a new heaven and a new earth. The intensity of the prophet’s experience is matched only by the richness of the apocalyptic symbolism he employed to warn his readers of the impending disasters and temptations which would require their steadfast allegiance to the risen Lord. To be sure, the Lord will come in power and majesty, but not before His enemies have exercised a terrible (albeit limited by the divine mercy) attack upon those who “hold to the testimony of Jesus.”

Comparing Genesis And Revelation
1)Revelation may be compared to the book of Genesis. In Genesis we are told, “And the gathering of the waters called he seas” (1:10). In Revelation we are told: “And there was no more sea” (21:1).

2)In Genesis is described the first Adam with his wife Eve in the Garden of Eden, reigning over the earth (1:27, 28). In Revelation is described the last Adam with his wife, the Church, in the City of God, reigning over all the universe (21:9).

3)In Genesis God created the sun and moon, the day and the night (1:5, 16). In Revelation we are told, “There shall be no night there” (22:5). “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof” (21:23).

4)In Genesis the tree of life is denied to sinful man (3:22). In Revelation the tree of life “yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” (22:2).

5)In Genesis man hears God say, “Cursed is the ground for thy sake” (3:17). In Revelation man will hear God say: “And there shall be no more curse” (22:3). In Genesis Satan appears to torment man for awhile (3:1). In Revelation Satan disappears, himself to be tormented forever (20:10).

6)In Genesis the old earth was punished through a flood (7:12). In Revelation the new earth shall be purified through a fire (2 Pet. 3:6-12; Rev. 21:1).

7)In Genesis, man’s early home was beside a river (2:10). In Revelation, man’s eternal home will be beside a river: “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb” (22:1).

8)In Genesis the Patriarch Abraham goes to weep for Sarah (23:2). In Revelation the children of Abraham will have God himself wipe away all tears from their eyes (21:4).

9)In Genesis God destroys an earthly city, wicked Sodom, from the sands (Gen. 19). In Revelation God presents a heavenly city, new Jerusalem, from the skies (Rev. 21:1).

10)Genesis ends with a believer in Egypt, lying in a coffin (50:1-3). Revelation ends with all believers in eternity, reigning forever

With Christmas right around the corner, more Christians this year are finding themselves faced with the difficult decision of choosing between a real and an artificial Christmas tree.
As the Christian community becomes increasingly environmentally conscious, megachurch pastors Rick Warren and Bill Hybels as well as more than 100 influential evangelical leaders, are speaking out about global warming and calling on governments and Christians to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions – the main cause of global warming. Signers of the Evangelical Climate Initiative (ECI) agree that global warming is real and mainly caused by humans.

“Christians, noting the fact that most of the climate change problem is human induced, are reminded that when God made humanity he commissioned us to exercise stewardship over the earth and its creatures,” the ECI statement reads. “Climate change is the latest evidence of our failure to exercise proper stewardship, and constitutes a critical opportunity for us to do better.”
During this holiday season, some Christians are making the decision to take what they believe to be a small but important step toward slowing global warming by buying a natural Christmas tree.

“When you buy a real Christmas tree, you’re buying a tree where the environmental impact of growing and harvesting that tree is positive,” says Paul Krebs, owner of Oregon-based Coyote Hills Tree Farm.

According to the Pacific Northwest Christmas Tree Association, each acre of Christmas trees provides the daily oxygen for 18 people. With 1 million acres of Christmas tree farms nationwide, this translates into oxygen for 18 million people each day or the equivalent daily oxygen use by twice as many people as the population of Los Angeles County.

Meanwhile, artificial Christmas trees are typically made of various plastics which end up in landfills after their usefulness is over. Plastic trees are not easily recyclable or reusable after their average 4-5 year life span.

Also, 85 percent of the artificial trees bought in the United States each year comes from China, where the environmental and employment standards are below U.S. standards – thus increasing the potential negative environmental impact.

Natural trees, on the other hand, are entirely a U.S. product and are grown as a sustainable crop which takes many years of culturing and work to bring to the market.

Oregon, for instance, supplies roughly 25 percent of the nation’s Christmas trees.

Krebs explains that most trees are removed from the fields by helicopter so tractors and equipment do not disturb the west ground during harvest.

“It also reduces time, getting fresher trees to the market,” he adds. “Sustainable agriculture practice and conservative methods are important to virtually all tree farms.”

Coyote Hills Tree Farm offers to send trees directly to the customer, cutting the tree just prior to shipping.

“We mechanically shake all trees to remove loose debris before boxing and shipping by UPS. We call these trees ‘the pick of the field,’” Krebs says. “All boxes have a moisture control seal to preserve freshness.”

Meanwhile, on the east coast a former World War II veteran, John Cooper, created an idyllic Christmas tree farm in West Virginia which he calls Santa’s Forest. Cooper, who was the president of the West Virginia Christmas Tree Association and representative to the National Christmas Tree Association, was invited to the White House during the Carter administration to present a Christmas tree to the first lady on behalf of his state.

Santa’s Forest says it also follows sustainable growing guidelines that protect the environment while providing Americans with their choice of fresh Christmas trees.

The company offers a wide variety of trees, including Scotch Pine, Balsam Fir, Canaan Valley Fir, Colorado Spruce, Fraser Fir, and White Pine.

In June 2007, Santa’s Forest was formally transferred over to the owners of FreshChristmasTree.com who combined their successful mail order business with a traditional cut-your-own tree farm.In addition to providing oxygen, another advantage of real Christmas trees are the programs available in most major metropolitan areas that will take the trees after the holidays and turn it into mulch for playgrounds, gardens, and other landscape needs.

Because real trees are 100 percent biodegradable, they do not contribute to landfill and waste management problems.

A recent poll by Ellison Research found that 84 percent of evangelicals support legislation to reduce global warming pollution levels. The poll also found that 54 percent of evangelicals are more likely to support a candidate that works on the issue.

Guess all the people who went to the camp are all having fun.....
for the one who being push or drag or swing or by all mean go into the water, and the people who saw those "ke lian" one being dump..

really tired after frist night!
despite i slept about 1am last night..
but that is not my bed and i amnot a very deep sleeper..
i kept waking up
so i am not really very awake now.. but i am in office..
that is why i pray that today not much customer will come to my shopto ask stupid question or agitate me... hehe...

only stay till morning after the camp opening ceremony..

hello again. i'm really crazy about bloggin right now.
so... i'm here to talk about BONDING.
so, as you'all know, this is the fellowship blog.
and the fellowship consists of about 16 people(i guess?)
and it started like a few months ago(i guess?)
and as all of you can see, there aren't much people here.
but throughout these months, this group of people have somehow become close to each other
as in.. yea. so we're kinda like a "family-in-Christ"! ((: yay
this is due to BONDING.

you know, we'all started together as strangers.
but through BONDING, we've become a "family"!
and as all of you would know, this isn't how big the fellowship's gonna be in the near future.
we need to learn to accept others into the fellowship!
and to BOND with them
but not just "stick" to the ones whom we already know.
yea... sometimes by "sticking" with "these" people, others may be kinda left out.
yea... so we've got to ACCEPT others(i don't know how though =P)
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeaa... THEREFORE, BONDING is a very important part of FELLOWSHIP!

SO, the topic for today's lesson is HONESTY.

i'm sure everyone has heard of the phrase "honesty is the best policy".
so this phrase teaches us to be HONEST.
and what's being honest?
it means not cheating others and not getting them worried for nothing.
therefore, if you are being dishonest, it is WRONG.
cause you're making others embarrassed for worrying over nothing.
YES!
and if you happen to be caught RED-HANDED........
the consequences could be DISASTROUS!!!!

Hello!

First day of the Sec Four graduation chalet!
And it was raining. Which wasn't very possible for a barbecue.

So we all prayed together (:
Prayed for God's grace, for the rain to stop, so that we could carry out the plans for the evening. Of course, even it didn't stop, we know it's part of His plan so we should just be thankful for it and pray for Him to guide us. But the rain stopped! :D

God is so wonderful,
He listens to our prayers and answers them!

Yup. So just to say we should always know that He will always listen to our prayers, no matter how silly we may think it is, or whatever. He listens, and He answers, in His time. (:

We are why Jesus Christ died. I came across this song on a friend's blog so i'm sharing it here- it's pretty touching and just reminds me of how much pain Jesus Christ had gone through to cleanse us. Just as sin was introduced into this world by one man, one man atoned it all for us with his precious blood, so that we might be called righteous.

The Armor of God is as follows:
Belt of Truth - For when we understand the truth about chastity, then we will desire nothing more but to be pure and virtuous.

Breastplate of Righteousness - For it is only our righteousness in Christ that can prevent the most terrible blows of the adversary.

Sandals of The Gospel of Peace - For the gospel is a gospel of DOING. Unless we are actively pursuing our Christian faith, then we are not going to go anywhere.

Shield of Faith - For it is with faith that we can thwart any question of trial given to us by Satan. We respond with the word of God, just as did Christ (Luke 4-14).

Helmet of Salvation - For "salvation belongeth to Yahweh" (Psa. 3:8) and it is only through Jesus Christ that we can receive our salvation (Matt. 1:21). With that knowledge, we can then see clearly and think properly while being protected from the oppressor.

Sword of the Spirit - For it is with the Spirit that we combat the devil and put to death the works of the flesh (Rom. 8:13). The sword is God's word - the bible. By reading the bible, we can decipher if something is true or false. Also, when Jesus resisted temptation from the devil, he said "It is written".

No matter how blue or grey or maybe even orange and red the sky is. i still love the sky forevermore : ) look at the sky more often. it is just so pretty : ) and remember that is where Jesus is coming from as our victorious King ONE FINE DAY, will it rain?

Fierce Debate

Didn't expect such enthusiastic and fierce responses from the faithfulness fellowship. Was very impressed with the interest, fun and learning that all of you showed. Very tired after the Batam trip and my mind wasn't working very well.

Was reading Act 18 yesterday and found out that though Apollos knew very little, he was very faithful in telling others about Jesus. We certainly know much more than him. May God grant us the desire and courage to tell others about Him.

Pray that the sec 4 are trusting God and leaning on his strength in their exams.'May the LORD reward you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.' Ruth 2:12-13.

Debate 01

Today was the fellowship first Debate Session.

The motion of the day was: Should Christians earn a lot of money?

The teams were split as such:
Proposition- Clement, Timothy, Joel, Jeremy, Yi Li, Lim Min, Annie
Opposition- Daniel, Yihan, Qing Feng, Amanda, Jia Ling, Rachel, Yingxing

To say the least, it was an exciting session that gave our mouths a good workout- especially that of Annie's and mine's. However, what I felt was the greatest part of our debate session was the preparation of our cases, in which we have to search through the Bible to look for answers on our own; something which i believe not many of us would do when faced with such dilemmas.

The Proposition's case revolved around that of Matthew 6:23 and Mark 10:25. The first verse states that one should place the love of God above all things. Furthermore, the proposition's argument was bolstered by verses that Money and the Love of God cannot coexist. Mark 10:25 also told of the parable of a rich man- where Jesus said that "25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

The Opposition's case was well-built (haha of course since we put so much effort into it). The first point was on the fact that God provides all things- and all our earnings are in his plan for us. After all, he who reaps generously will sow generously; and it is thus natural and in God's plan for us to earn as much as we could.

Second point was that God gave us all gifts, so we must use them. This is evident in the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14~) where the Master called a servant to be lazy and wicked because he had not capitalized his talents. This was what the Master said 28" 'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. 29For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 30And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' So yeps, don't be that lazy and wicked servant!

Third point was that money can also go back to God to further his work. So long that one earns the money with God in mind, nothing good will be withheld from those who deserve it (Proverbs 3:27). In addition, proverbs 10:22 also says that the blessing of the Lord brings wealth and he adds no trouble for it. Thus, it was to counter the proposition's point that rich people cannot enter the heavens- such as in the books of Acts where those who believed in the disciples' teachings decided to sell off their lands, horses, etc. After all Proverbs 22:9 also states that a generous man will himself be blessed for he shares his food with the poor.

Indeed, at the end of the day, our riches on this earth cannot be accumulated. Furthermore, blind pursuit with only the love of money will utterly destroy oneself, for he has lost the love of God. But if one utilizes his talents and follows God's plan, he too will earn all the glorious riches that God has prepared for him so much so that his vats will overflow with wine.

Yeps, as expected [HAHA ANNIE], the Opposition won. So when are we going to eat those biscuits/wafer sticks prizes?

Hope everybody have a gd time in the debate today.....i think the debate today is very meaningful to all of us....next wks,we are all going to ben and jerry.....too bad simon cannot go.....although he paid for us....we can consider to either go to ben and jerry or swensen....so where u want???(write in tagboard lah)...the best is a cheaper place cause the rest of the money will be contributed to the fellowship fund......

EOY Chalet. Next week's programme would be the initial planning for our EOY Chalet- concurrently, recruitment has to continue; hence please INVITE all brothers and sisters from Youth Hour to join this chalet to discover more about God, about their brothers and sisters in Christ, and in themselves.

Hopefully this will be an inspiring chalet and bring us closer to God.

Why Christians Need Fellowship

Here's a short excerpt from Dr. Dale A. Robbins's article on why christians need fellowship. The full article may be found at http://www.victorious.org/felwship.htm

1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have
fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses
us from all sin.”

Fellowship comes from the Greek word, KOINONIA,which means “to share
in common.” Christian fellowship is more than attending Church — it is
“assimilating” into the body of believers, becoming “one” in worshipping,
loving, caring and sharing.

According to the scripture, fellowship is not an optional matter for
believers. It says, “if walk in the light [in fellowship with God]... this
causes us to have fellowship with one another.” And from the outcome of this
fellowship, “the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin” (1 John
1:7).

Hopefully you guys and gals have a better idea of why we decided to set up this fellowship for our youths in PPC youth hour! Let us burn in his glory!
